Licensed Occupational Therapist
Shoulder, Elbow and Hand Therapy
7 years experience
Watching her father's journey toward recovery after a life-threatening condition landed Kimberly Hicks squarely in the field of occupational therapy. "I knew the minute I saw my dad work with his occupational therapist that this was my lifetime career." She has pursued it ever since, and today specializes in shoulder, elbow, and hand therapy.
Kimberly holds a Masters degree in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California (USC), 2007 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications, also from USC, 1998. She has worked in a variety of settings from orthopedics to geriatrics and is a certified yoga instructor. She is a member of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Since 2008, Torrance Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Group has been an extension of Kimberly's family. "Patients tell me all the time that they can see we enjoy our jobs and love the people we work with. If this isn't the best place to be while going through therapy, I don't know what is." Besides her career in physical therapy, Kimberly demonstrates an admirable pursuit of kickboxing, bootcamp, Pilates, and yoga, and she enjoys spending time with her family.
